Kumpoo has been around since 1992 and the brand originates from Japan. After the 2013 World Championships, later in the year, Kumpoo were sponsors of the Macau grand prix. A couple of other players on the Thailand team were also previously using Kumpoo such as  Saralee Thungthongkam and Sudket Prapakamol.
